I read this poem to the Evangelical Church when I resigned my membership 2003-01-12.

Beginning

There was a beginning.
God was the beginning.
And in the beginning,
God made it all.

His power made it all.
With love He made it all.
His voice spoke and made all,
The universe.

There was no universe.
God made the universe.
Made all the universe,
In just six days.

The evening starts the day.
The morning ends the day.
And on the seventh day.
God made His rest.

God did not need to rest.
For us He made His rest.
Each week God's day of rest.
We remember.

God's love we remember.
Creation remember.
His rest we remember.
Eternally.
